Bouncin' Ball & Flying Squirrel

These videos were taken sunday night while I was on the phone. Bradley was really wound up. He didn't want to go to bed, so he was entertaining his dad so that he could stay up longer. Notice how he bounces in the doorway of the first video. That was a long time before his crash at the end of the hall in the second one.

Last night Andy was studying different types of insurance on his laptop and the couch. Bradley was trying to get his attention and started jumping from the coffee table to the couch. Andy quickly named it "The Flying Squirrel!" Bradley thought it was so funny to say "Flying Squirrel Dad!" that I had to reinact it this morning so that we could share it. So without farther adue we gife you "The Flying Squirrel."

Daniel is definatel our best eater! We just hope he continues to eat EVERYTHING! He has even inspired Bradley to taste a couple of things. Bradley immediately spit them back out, but in was progress for he to try them. I love this picture because it shows how excited he gets to eat. He is ALWAYS this way at dinner, unless I am not feeding him fast enough!

I think it is funny to watch Daniel eat. He attacks everything you put on his tray. It is great! I thought I would share a clip of him eating because he is sooo cute. (I might be a little bit bias.) He is eating peices of bread and corn.

Fashion, Flowers & Bubbles

Bradley is the inspiration for this post. One night I was getting ready to go somewhere and he found my pig socks. He loves to put my socks on! So I helped him put them on and then he went to get some clothes. He was just in his diaper because it was getting close to bed time. These are the clothes he came back with. Then he put on his shoes. I thought his choice of outfit was too funny so I took a picture. Despite the fact that my life has been threatened if I posted this picture, here it is!

These next pictures are from the walk we took on monday morning with our dad. Andy showed Bradley a dandilion and told him to give it to me. Bradley got so excited he started picking every dandilion he could find to give me. I thought it was sweet that he wanted to give me flowers. I suppose his choice of flowers wasn't too bad.

The next pictures were inspired by Bradley's obsession to spit. He thinks it is so cool to spit on things because it makes bubbles. I think it is sick and wrong, but I can't get him to understand that. So I have a solution to that, and it gets my dishes clean too!! I put some dish soap on a scrub brush and let him scrub Daniel's tray in the sink with a little water. Soon he had bubbles on the tray. He loved it and I didn't have to wash the tray!! It was a win win situation.

The great thing is I always have some kind of pot or pan that needs to be washed!

A Tribute To A Prophet...

Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley passed away on January 27, 2008 at the age of 97. He served as our beloved prophet for more than 12 years. He will be greatly missed by not only the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but by the whole world. I was impressed to see all the tributes from prominent people around the world. I also loved the many pictures of Pres. Hinckley. It is said that a picture speaks a thousand words. I think that is true. These pictures show Pres. Hinckley's love and dedications for his family, his calling, the people of the world, etc... He was a great example to all. He always smiled and had a positive out look on life. He truly was a Prophet of God! Be Grateful

On Your Marks...Get Set...ROLL!

In the last couple of weeks Daniel has decided that he is tired of just sitting around. He likes to move it! He is starting to roll every where. He also likes to stand next to things. It is funny to watch him stand next to the coffee table. He gets excited watching Bradley play with things and ends up dancing to the right a long the table. I tried to get him to move to the left, but he wouldn't. He only chooses to walk to the right!! (We have taught him well, to choose the right!)

9 Month Pictures

I took Daniel in last week to J.C. Penny's to get his 9 mon. picture taken. He did a really good job. We were about 20 minutes early because it didn't take us as long to run arrends as we thought. They weren't very busy so they let us in early. It only took about 20 min to take the pictures, pick the ones I liked, and pay for them! It was wonderful!!! Bradley did really good too. I put him in the stroller by the door with a baggy of gold fish and told him to sit still. He did! I think it was the best picture taking experience I have had in a long time!!

I down loaded the pictures back wards so the last ones were really the first ones taken. As you can see he did better the longer he went.

9 Months!

Another month has come and gone. I can hardly believe that it is only 3 more months until Daniel will be 1 year! He has been such a delight to have in our family. Bradley loves to play with him and help him try new things. They are getting to be such good buddies.
Not all the pictures were taken on his actual 9 mon. birthday, but they were taken within a couple days of it!

Daniel has started rolling a round more, but only if we catch him at the right time. He has to be fully rested and fed, or its a no go on the rolling!

Military Appreciations Night with the Spurs!

This weekend was great. Andy and I were able to go to a Spurs game. USAA, our insurance company, gave us 2 free tickets to watch the Spurs play the Timber Wolves. We also got free shirts. We picked up a couple balloon clappers on the way out. We thought the boys would like them. We were right! They were the first thing Bradley found Sunday morning!! It was refreshing to get out together and to top it off the Spurs won! During half time Collin Raye sang for us. I posted his song below. I don't know if it is just because Andy is in the Air Force or not, but I get a little misty when they would talk about the men and women in the service or when they would play patriotic songs. Anywho, I really liked the song so I thought I would share it with you all!

Twins!

I know what you are all thinking, "Karrie is pregnant! With Twins!?" The answer is NO to BOTH! I am simply saying that I am VERY grateful that I do NOT have twins. I take my hat off to all of you who have twins are are still mostly sane! (Laura, I solute you!!) Guard and Bradley have always been good buddies do to the fact that they are so close in age. Guard is only 2 months older than Bradley. After this last visit I am extremely grateful they are not twins! I am also grateful that they don't live too close to each other. (Sorry Melissa. I really do love you guys!) Here are some of the 'fun' things the boys did together during the 10 days we were there.

They locked themselves in Grandma's room twice. You may not think this is a problem, but the lock was not a privacy lock, and the key was IN the room with them. Guard taught Bradley to lock the door, but neither seemed to be able to unlock the door. The first time they got locked in Bradley stood by the door and cried "Mommy, Mommy!" the whole time. We had to send one of the older kids through the bathroom window to unlock the door.

Next they went into the bathroom in the study. They were having so much fun! We could hear them squealing. When I opened the door I found two naked boys! They had taken their clothes off, put their diapers in the toilet (this helps the diaper dissolve making it easier to pull apart!), and were throwing white beady stuff from the diapers EVERY where. It looked like it had snowed in there! To top it all off there were two small piles of poop on the floor. I couldn't believe it! Couldn't they at least pick a different bathroom to do this in. They picked the ONLY bathroom in the whole house with CARPET in it!! Luckily for them they both have wonderful fathers who love them very much. It took a good 30 minutes to clean the bathroom and the boys!

The next adventure was sneaking up stairs! It was a constant battle trying to keep them down stairs. Some how they managed to get up stairs to Uncle Levi and Aunt Amber's room and locked themselves in. We couldn't find the key anywhere. (This was only a day or two after the bathroom incident.) We were so worried they were doing a repeat locked up in there! After debating whether or not we were going to have to go out a window across the roof and in the bedroom window, Grandpa and Uncle Daniel were able to break in! Fortunately for Amber and Levi the boys were still dressed and playing on the window box. We quickly named them the "Dynamic Duo!" So without any farther introductions, here they are!

I know you all thought I was going to show a picture of the bathroom! Well, it would have been kiddy porn to show you exactly what I found. Plus I didn't get a picture of the messy. I thought about getting the camera, but the truth is I was trying to act busy somewhere else so I didn't have to help clean their mess! Again, they have wonderful dads!! Thanks so much Andy and Daniel for cleaning up after your cute boys!!

Birthdays & the Park!

During our visit we took the kids to a park in Longview, TX. This park is so much fun. The whole park is like a wooden castle. A couple of the slides were a little bit scary, but the kids ran around for 2 hours. They ALL slept on the way home!
