Dad's Cast Net

Christmas Day!

Andy got a cast net for Christmas.  We had to try it out.

He caught four tiny fish.

Getting water in the bucket for the fish.

Unfortunately he didn't catch anything.  There just wasn't anything in the water.

Bradley and Daniel used fishing rods, but didn't have any luck either.

Bradley learned at scout camp that fish like corn, so he is trying some corn as bait.

Nathan just likes to run around!

Dad brought some hot chocolate.  Nathan thought that was the best part of the whole trip!

We will have to try the cast net again one of these days.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning 2014!

Santa came!!  The kids slept in until about 7 am.
(I love it when they do that!)

Daniel, Bradley, Nathan and Eliza in their new pj's with most of the presents.

A better look at the new pj's.

Eliza's main present was an art kit.  She has spent hours drawing!

We also got a new map of the US from Aunt Andrea.
We love it!!! Thanks!

Daniel and Bradley both got new bikes.  I didn't get any pictures of Andy and Bradley putting his together, but I did get a couple of Daniel's bike being built.
(The camo pants are Andy's new pj's for this year.)

Daniel was super excited to try it out!

Dad was the master builder.  Thanks handsome!  I couldn't have done it without you!

Since Daniel's was the last bike to be put together Dad had to check it out.

Daniel was very excited to get his turn.

Daniel's bike is a free style bike.  It has the stunt pegs, so they had to try them out.

Daniel was a little bit nervous.

Bradley with his gifts.

Bradley's bike is BMX style.

Daniel with is gifts.

This is a Daddy photo bomb!

Eliza with her gifts.

Nathan with his gifts.
He got this balance bike for Christmas.  He has been "borrowing" our neighbors for weeks.  He doesn't usually ask, so it is more like stealing.  They know where it is when it disappears though.

The boys are more than happy to keep Eliza company while she draws.

We spent a fun relaxing day drawing pictures, playing games and watching movies.
It was a lot of fun to spend the day with just us.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!

Another Year Older and Wiser Too...

Happy Birthday To You!

We celebrated another birthday in our family.  Happy Birthday Dad!

He had to work a half day on his birthday, so we picked up some donuts and danish desserts to take into work.  He was surprised to see us.  We were there for about an hour.  The kids kept everyone in the office entertained.  Then when he got home the kids insisted he open his presents!

Dad opening presents.

He got a basket to grill meat and veggies for the grill, a new clock/weather station and a double feature of Ben Hur and the Ten Commandments.

After dinner we did a nativity using the set Aunt Malea made us.
These are the willing and waiting participants.

Bradley/Joseph, Eliza/Mary, Nathan/donkey and Daniel/baby Jesus.

Dad's cake.  He is 34!
It is a German chocolate with caramel and coconut frosting.

Nathan loved the lighter.  It looks a little bit like a gun.

That is a lot of fire!

Happy birthday

to you!

Nathan needed to help his dad blow out the candles.

After cake we opened our new pj's and headed for bed.
Mom, Nathan, Eliza, Daniel and Bradley.
It was a great day to celebrate with a great man.  We love you Dad!
