Preschool Graduation

May 19-20, 2015

Preschool has come to an end.  We have had such a great experience with this group of girls and their mothers.  I am so grateful for all their talents and creativity.  Eliza has learned so much this year.  We are a little sad that 4 of these 6 girls will be moving this summer.  We wish them the best on their next post.

I got to teach the last preschool before the graduation party, so we mostly did things to get ready.

ss12rfI got group pictures of the girls 00000for a graduation gift.

Rachel, Carmen, Abby and Bailey-back row
Eliza and Delaney-front row

Getting all the girls to smile was...fun.
Silly faces!

We also did singles...

Eliza

Delaney- Heading to Germany in July

Bailey- Headed to D.C. in June

Rachel- headed to Italy in June

Carmen- Staying here

Abby- heading to England in July

The girls made thank you cards for the moms and graduation caps.  They also practiced a fun song to sing at graduation.  They did a great job.
Graduation was on the 20th in the afternoon.

Each of the girls got one of these with their picture in it.
This one is obviously Eliza's. :0)

Caitlin hosted the party at her house.
She did great with the decorations.

The girls all got a chance to draw their favorite thing about preschool on this paper.

The parent area.

The girls lined up to sing their song.  They sang it to the tune of ABC's.
ABC's and 123s
I can do these things with ease
Because my teachers were so cool
I had great fun in preschool
Now its time to graduate
Kindergarten, I can't wait!

Eliza with her certificate.
Miss Stefani made the certificates and said something about each of the girls.
Eliza was good to always follow the rules!

Miss Caitlin got all the girls a rose for graduation.

Then we got all the girls with their graduation caps.
They did a great job on them.

School Awards Celebrations

May 14, 2015

Bradley and Daniel both had their awards celebrations at school.  The 4th grade was at 9 am and the 2nd grade was at 10:30.  We got there about 9:03 and couldn't see Bradley's class.  There are 6 classes and they were bringing them in 2 at a time.  It turned out that Bradley's class was the last to come in, so we sat through all the others!  By the time the 4th grade was done it was 10:20, so we just hung out and waited for the 2nd grade.  They also have 6 classes that were brought in two at a time.  Daniel's class was the last one to come!!  We ended up sitting in the lunch room for over 2 hours watching everyone get their awards.  We did get to see some of the kids from our ward which was fun.  Both boys did great and we are so proud of all they have accomplished this year.

Nathan playing super heroes with another little boy who was waiting for his sister's class.

They got loud a couple times, but they shared really well.

Bradley finally made it!!

Nathan played with our neighbors little tape measure she keeps in her purse.

He loved it!!

Bradley was on the A, B honor roll for 3rd term and the all A's honor roll for the 4th term.
He also got excellent attendance for 3rd and 4th terms.

After all the 4th grade left Nathan had to sit on the steps.  He wanted to join the other kids so bad, but his mean mom wouldn't let him.

Way to go Bradley!

Daniel's class finally made it in.

This boy is cute.

Daniel got on the A-B honor roll for 3rd term and the all A's honor roll for 4th term.
He also got an award for reaching his AR goal all four terms.

Way to go Daniel!

Peter, Daniel and Bradley
The PTO gave all the kids a book and a pencil.  Daniel got another Flat Stanley book and Bradley's was about Natural Disasters from the Kids National Geographic series.
They are pretty cool books.

Nathan also reached a milestone that day.  He filled his potty chart with stickers!
He has been working on potty training for about a week and is pretty solid.
He has caught on faster than the others.  I am glad I went ahead and started him before our baby brother comes.  The only problem we have now is keeping him from peeing in the front yard when ever he has to go.

"Ice Cream!"
He earned a treat for each row he filled with stickers and ice cream when the whole chart was filled.
Way to go Nathan!!

Happy Mothers Day

May 8-10, 2015

Andy took me shopping for a new recliner as my Mothers Day present.  We decided it would be nice to have one up in our room so that I would be more comfortable while taking care of the baby once he arrives.  It was so thoughtful of him.  I just love this guy!

We found some really great options.
Eliza is modeling a very comfortable chair.

Nathan modeling another option...not quite as comfy as the one above.

The kids helped Andy clean out the cars and wash them Saturday evening.
Bradley and Daniel

Nathan wasn't happy about cleaning the cars unless he could have a little power!

Who turned that boy loose with the hose!?

Eliza and Daniel trying to hide from Nathan as he sprays off the van.

Nathan helping Dad get some more clean soapy water in the bucket.

Bradley hiding behind the chair trying not to get sprayed!

Eliza washing the tires.

These boys needed constant supervision and Dad is just the crab to do it. :)

Nathan cleaning off all the soap.

This is my big mama chair!
It rocks, reclines and swivels!  It is real leather and super comfy.
It is a little bit big, but Andy was good enough to rearrange our room to accommodate it.
(FYI: I am 37 wks in this picture.)

Daniel made this coaster at school for mothers day.
What a cute kid!

This is a candle holder Bradley made at school for mothers day.
They used baby food jars.  It is such a fun idea.  It turned out really cute!

I had a great mothers day and I am very blessed to have such a great family!  I love you all.
