Daniel loses another tooth

January 17, 2015
Daniel gets super excited when ever he gets a loose tooth.  The funny thing is that when it is time to pull the tooth he won't let his dad do it.  He always wants me to do it. :0)

Nathan was curious about the whole tooth pulling thing.

Dad tied the floss around the tooth and then we got ready to pull.
(Notice he is finally getting his top front teeth in.)

It came out!

Piggies and An Early Birthday present

January 6-15, 2015
Eliza loves to get her little piggies out and play with them.  I have found them in various places.  On this morning I found the piggies playing with cars in the toy room.

Nathan has recently been introduced to the show CARS.  That is the reason for the line of McQueen cars.

A family movie night.

I think we were watching Ben Hur this night.

On the 15th my birthday present arrived!  I was a surprised because it wasn't suppose to come until my birthday.  :)  I don't mind since we have been enjoying every day!

Can you guess what is in the boxes?

When our dad got home he assembled the present.

First two pieces are out!

It is starting to take form...

It's a table!

Getting ready to insert the leaves.

It gets pretty long with both leave sections in.  The leaves can be stored inside the table.

Finally Dad started on the chairs.

We got six chairs and hope to eventually build a bench.

I love my new table!!

Taking in the Tank!

A near by town has a Tank and helicopter as a memorial to the vets from this area.  We have driven past a couple times, but this was the first time we stopped.  The kids loved climbing all over the tank and imagining what it would be like to ride one.

Bradley trying to reenact a picture Dad got when he was little.
He was a little nervous. ;0)

Dad trying to help him get out farther to hang on the barrel.

He tried to talk Bradley into sitting on his shoulders, but Bradley  was too nervous.

Nathan was not!

The Newest Dare Devil!

Nathan has been "borrowing" our neighbor's balance bike for several weeks.  He was getting the hang of it and then he got one for Christmas.  After a couple days on his new bike he was zipping around as fast as his little legs would take him.  Then he would pull his feet up and coast for several feet.  I couldn't believe how quickly he got his balance.   He has turned into a bit of a maniac though.

Nathan, the cute maniac.

There is a small grassy hill across from our house.  The boys love to ride their bikes on it.  This last week Nathan decided he was big enough to join them.

I watched him from the house go down the hill a couple times just waiting for him to crash.  He never did, so I grabbed the camera and walked over.

He had a huge smile on his face the whole time. He would laugh or do a war cry every time he went down.  He could spend hours over there!

Eliza joined the boys.  She didn't want to be left out of the fun.

He has to walk his bike up the hill, but then he swings his little leg over the seat and heads off again!

Sleeping and Beautification!

We have really been enjoying our two week break for the holidays.  Eliza has been playing with her piggies a lot.  One day I was holding one too and realized just how long their hair has gotten.  I told her that it was long enough to put a bow in.  She ran upstairs and found some of her old bows.  Then she set to work with the beautification process.  Here are some of the results.

Eliza and Sweet Pea

Can you tell she is proud of her handy work?

Sweet Pea was a good model.

One night Andy and I stayed up and watched a show after the kids went to bed.  We heard Nathan come down the stairs, but he never came to find us.  We figured he had gone back up to bed.  When we finally headed towards bed this is what we found.

He really wedged himself in there!  He was out!!

You can hear the Chipmunks singing in the background.  Bradley and Daniel listen to it every night for weeks around Christmas.
