Holiday Goodies

I have been wanting to get some help with some of the house hold cleaning for a while and I finally got around to doing it.  A lady in my ward comes to sweep, mop and vacuum once a week.  She has a little boy about the same age as Nathan.  He is a good natured little boy and does well while his mom cleans.

The next ones are some Christmas goodies I had at a party.  They are really good and super easy to make.  The only problem is you can't just eat one!

Start with some pretzels, hugs, and M&M's.  (Kisses do not work!)

Put pretzels on tin foil, place a hug on top and place in the oven on 200 for about 5-7 min.
When hug starts to melt pull in out and place an M&M in the middle.

Once they have cooled completely, remove them and enjoy!
(The pretzels that are shaped like waffles work pretty well.)

The weather was nice this weekend when Andy came home, so we enjoyed a picnic on the deck.
Notice Eliza's outfit?  She dressed herself.

Bradley some how grew new teeth.

There must be something in the apple juice...

It is contagious!

Nathan loves all the attention he gets from his dad.  It's always fun for everyone when Daddy comes home!

First Trip to Asheville

We made a trip out to Asheville to see Andy and surprise him with a Christmas tree and a couple decorations.  He knew we were coming, but he didn't know about the tree.  I picked the kids up from school and we headed out.  It took us around 4 hours to get there since we had to stop for gas and to feed Nathan.  (He did a little bit better this trip.)  When we got there Andy was at the hospital because he got called in, so Bradley and I ran out and got the tree from the van.  We had the tree up and decorated in about 5 minutes.

I think it turned out pretty well.  Andy was pleasantly surprised about the tree.

Eating lunch with Dad, the duck billed platypus.

After lunch was nap time.  We got in late on Friday night so the kids were pretty tired and a little bit whiny.  Eliza and Dad were really the only ones that took a nap, but Daniel and Bradley took turns entertaining Nathan.  Daniel was first.

Sweet dreams!

Bradley was very quiet, but never went to sleep.

Bradley turn to entertain.

I did get to take a short nap in the late afternoon.  Nathan got lots of love that day!

We went to church with Dad and then spent the afternoon playing before heading home.  Dad showing Nathan his teeth!

Bradley with the stockings the kids made for Dad!

Almost 6 Months

When Bradley was a baby we got a cute little outfit from Grandma Atwood.  Bradley and Daniel both got their 6 month pictures taken in it.  Since Nathan is getting so big I decided I better do my own photo shoot in case he grows out of it before I get him in for his 6 month pictures.  He is 5 1/2 months old in the pictures.

It is really easy to get this boy to smile.

Nathan isn't very sturdy sitting on his own yet, so I had to hold him to steady him and then quickly take the picture.

Who is Who?
Below are pictures of Bradley, Daniel and Nathan.  Can you tell them apart?

Bradley is on the brown back drop and Daniel is on the white.  Nathan is obviously on the crib mattress in the corner.
They are all such sweet boys!

Oh the Abuse...

We had a couple of rough weeks for injuries.  First of all Daniel got bitten by a little boy in Florida.

This first picture is from the night of the attack!

These next two are from a week and a half after he was bitten.
I am happy to say that three weeks out Daniel's monster bruise is gone.

Next Eliza got burned by a hot popcorn kernel.   Andy was jumping the popcorn into a bowl for the kids and some how a hot un-popped cornel bounced down her shirt and burned her little belly.  It was really red a swollen the first night, but it has healed pretty well.

I took these pictures two days after.  Eliza wasn't this pleasant after the initial burning.

Third, Bradley had a really loose tooth!  He was wiggling it and twisting it a LOT!  I kept trying to get him to let me pull it but he wouldn't.  It was so loose that it fell out while he was sleeping.

So this picture doesn't look like abuse, but Nathan was really tired and kept crying and crying.  I really needed to shower so I propped him up next to Bradley and he went right to sleep.  It was pretty cute.

Last but not least...Nathan trying his first bites of rice cereal.  He thought I was torturing him because I couldn't get the food into his mouth fast enough.  He likes big boy food.  :0)
