Saturday Morning at the Commissary

Sept. 26, 2015

Andy has started studying for his boards.  On Saturday mornings he studies with some buddies on google groups.  He needs it to be quiet, so we headed out of the house.  I had seen the bounce slide and bounce house at the commissary for their annual case lot sale.  We headed over to the commissary and the kids ran and jumped for an hour!

Bradley, Daniel and Eliza
Nathan went to the bounce house first.

Nathan joined everyone else when he saw how much fun they were having.

They headed to the bounce house for a while.

Toe Job

Sept. 20, 2015

Nathan was playing with a balloon in the toy room after church.  He was trying to keep it up in the air and wasn't paying attention and tripped over a toy.  It was a little painful.

It happened about 20 minutes after our dad left for a stake meeting.  Our neighbor was the only one I could think of that wouldn't be at the stake meeting, so I asked him to take a look.

He said it didn't need stitches and just used some glue.

It has healed nicely.  :0)

In June I injured my toe.  It got a big blood blister under it.
This picture was taken about a month after I injured it.

This one is from about four months after the injury.

The new nail has started to grow!

Just before painting the nail.  You can see the new nail growing in better here.

Eliza and I decided that we needed a Halloween paint job.

We did candy corn themed nails.

With in 24 hours of painting my nails my big toe started to hurt.  I tried to deal with it for a day or two and then decided the nail polish needed to come off.  When I started to take the polish off I noticed one side of the nail was starting to come up.  So five months after the injury the nail finally came off.  Fortunately a new nail was growing.

The lite purple at the bottom is the new nail.

The first side is coming up.

The outside part of the nail was still attached a little.

As far as it will go.
I soaked it in warm water and the other side loosed up.

The old nail sitting on top.

What lies beneath.

All the pain went a way once I took off the paint and the nail came off.

Good bye my pretty!

Guess Who

September 2015

We fed the missionaries dinner this month and we got a surprise when they came.  They were on slits with the Elders from Gulf Port.  The elder from Gulf Port turned out to be Elder Hendrickson from Orem, UT.  He is Bart and Tonya's nephew.  I knew him when he was 5 or 6 years old.  He his a lot bigger now. :0)
Nathan, Elder Hendrickson, Bradley, Elder Holm, Eliza and Daniel.
These are their silly faces.

Elder Hendrickson's laugh is a lot like his uncle Bart's just not as loud.  As you can see he is quite a character.  He can relate very well to others and he is a great missionary.

These are their "I love my mommy so much!" faces.

On to our muscles poses!

We love having the missionaries over.

The primary music leader in our ward gave all the kids cool mustaches in primary as an incentive to see the primary songs.  The kids had a lot of fun with the mustaches. Some of them were really great fits.
Daniel

Bradley had a hard time keeping a straight face.

This one is my favorite.

His thoughtful pose.

Eliza makes this mustache look good!

"What is this?"

Josh looks pretty cute with Eliza's mustache on.
The mustaches were so much fun I had to buy some more.  More fun pictures to come.
