April 8-9, 2016
Andy participated in his first sprint triathlon on Saturday April 9th.
The night before there was a free crawdad boil on base. There were over 20 teams participating in the contest, so naturally he had to try some.

Eliza, Nathan and Daniel thought they were pretty good too!

Andy was a little nervous about how well they would sit the next day during his race.

Crawdad anyone!?
The triathlon...

We made posters to encourage our dad during his race. Here are some of the other participants from Keesler.
Chase R., Dana J., Curt H., Matt M., and Dad
The best cheering section is in front with the signs!!

Everyone is excited to race!

Matt was the first one out...
I'm not sure how it happened, but Matt is the only one I got leaving...I missed the rest!

Curt's family joined us while we waited for them to bike 17 miles.
Josh crawled up and down the side walk chasing the soccer ball.

Amanda H finishing the biking portion.

Dana and Andy finishing their ride.

After they started their run we headed up to the finish line. We went up to the corner to watch and then Nathan had to use the bathroom. Andy crossed the finish line while I was taking Nathan to the bathroom. :( I can't believe I missed it!!

Later that night we went to dinner with Cathryn and Dana Jensen. We went to a Japanese restaurant.
It was super tasty!

It was such a fun night.

One of our neighbors was getting ready to move and needed a place to keep his birds for a day. I told him that we would love to keep them. Andy didn't know that I volunteered to keep the birds, so we sent him a picture.

"Hey dad how do you like our new birds!?"
He was pretty surprised. He would have let us keep them, but he wasn't too sad that they went home with their owner. :)

Our first peas! They were delicious and did very well.

Nathan built a castle with chalk. He was proud of it! :)
