Fun At Aunt Lily's House

We had a lot of fun playing with our cousins at Aunt Lily's house.  Here are some of the fun things we did.

Watched funny youtube videos with Uncle Matt.

 

Checked out H.E.B.
It is so much bigger than I remembered!

 

Had a birthday party for Linden.

The cupcakes Aunt Lily made were so fun and tasty!

The boys helped Aunt Lily spread some mulch.

 

 

They are pretty good helpers.

Nathan built this bridge for his cars.

Chester loves balls.  Bradley got him to do some good tricks to get the ball.

This morning dove has a nest in Aunt Lily's tree.


Aunt Lily tried to put strips on the wheels so this jeep would have more traction.  It didn't work.
The kids loved it anyway.

Then we did the wade pool!

The water was super cold, but the kids had a blast!

Downtown San Antonio Again with Aunt Malea

Aunt Malea played hooky from work and joined us as we revisited our favorite places in downtown San Antonio.  Our first stop was the Alamo!

Gotta love getting pictures with kids.

Daniel was trying to photo bomb this picture.  He didn't realize I was getting him in it already.

He was feeling a little sheepish when he realized I meant to get him in the picture. ;)

This is a really cool old tree!  And the squirrel in it wasn't the least bit concerned that we were so close.  We probably could have caught him.

The landscaping was fun.

I love the lantana!

 
The butterfly on Eliza's shirt looks like it is ready to land on a flower.

Poor Nathan fell right before this picture.

After exploring the Alamo we headed across the street to the river walk.

They loved this area!  They thought we should have brought our swim suits.


Bradley was pretty sure this was paradise!

Then we found these fun cut outs.  Apparently there was a beer fest or something.

We saw some riverboat tours.  The kids thought we should have taken one of these tours.

The Chinese Tea Garden was our next stop.

This is probably one of my favorite places.  It is so beautiful!

These ducks got up close and personal.  I was a little surprised they got so close.


There were several turtles there as well.  This turtle must have been someones pet at one time.  It let the kids touch it and play with it.

This is a baby snapping turtle that Daniel spotted.  It was so little and cute!  We didn't try to play with this one though.

We headed to Brackenridge Park in downtown for lunch and to feed the ducks.

This was a fun little duck family.

This buzzard was keeping a close eye on things.  We weren't sure we should be concerned or not.

This duck had a breathing problem.  He sounded a little bit like Vader.  He also had a little hook on the end of his bill.  It made me a little nervous to try and hand feed him.

 


We had to do a train ride before we headed home.
 




Josh slept through the whole ride.















Poor Bradley got eaten alive by fleas!  We tried to document them enough to show our dad.  The poor kid was covered!
