Our Favorite Aunt Darcy

We really enjoyed having Darcy here with us. Daniel frequently said, "No Mom...not you...I want Aunt Darcy to help me." The boys loved wrestling with her and taking her around to show her things. The boys still tell me things that they did with Aunt Darc. This afternoon Bradley asked if he could watch a show. I told him yes since it is so rainy today, and he said, "I can get it out on my own Mom. Aunt Darcy always lets me!" Thanks Aunt Darc!! Now he wants to run the DVD player by himself! :)

What is that look?

Stealing Aunt Darc's kisses!

"Did you see that Dad?"

Darc and Eliza

Eliza wore this outfit just for Aunt Darc.

Happy 2 Months!

Eliza is already two months old! She has been such a joy to have in our home. EVERYONE adores her. Her brothers keep track of her for me. Just the other day Angie asked Bradley if she could take Eliza home with her. (Keep in mind that Bradley would live with them given the chance.) Bradley told her "no" because "we would miss her too much!" The boys have been so gentle with her and ask every night if she can snuggle with them on their bed.

Eliza loves her brothers too. When she hears them talking and playing she moves her little head around to look for them. She loves it when they tell her stories or just talk to her. She is starting to like her baths better too. She has even been brave and bathed once or twice with her brothers in the big bath tub!

"All fresh and Clean!"

Daniel is my best helper when it comes to getting Eliza ready for the day. He supervises all the accessorizing!

He also loves to hold Eliza.

Sometimes all Eliza needs is to lay down and kick a little.

She has decided that the swing is one of her favorite places too!

We are so grateful to have Eliza as part of our family. She is such a pleasant and delightful baby. I love picking her up first thing in the morning. She is so happy and rested...she smiles and coos...it does my heart good! She has been sleeping so well at nights. She is starting to go to sleep around 7:30-8 o'clock. I feed her one more time about 10 pm and then she sleeps until 3-5 am. Then she goes back to sleep until about 8-8:30 am. No wonder she is growing and changing so quickly! She really is our Sweet Little Princess.
We love you Eliza Marie!

Aunt Darc: Part 2

I took another trip out to "The Rock" with Dacry.  The day started out really foggy, but it cleared a little so that we could see the Golden Gate Bridge from Alcatraz.

This is Eliza inside the isolation cell block.  She slept through the whole thing.

Waiting for the ferry to go back to San Francisco.

Darcy with San Francisco in the back ground on "The Rock".

This is a model of a pre-historic shark jaw down by Peir 39.

The seals dissappeared from Peir 39 just before Christmas, but a few came back.

This is Lombard Street.  It is the curviest street in San Francisco.  The streets around it are super steep!!  I was glad Eliza was strapped in her car seat so that she didn't fall out!

This is looking back towards Peir 39 from the bottom of Lombard Street.  This picture doesn't show how steep the street really is.  I drove up it and there were some tourists standing in the street at the top.  I was so glad that I wasn't in a stick.

Darcy on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I love this picture because it shows how far you have to walk out on the bridge to be over the water.

Eliza was trooper.  She did so good for being drug around all day long.  She only cried for the last 20 minutes in the car on the way home.  As soon as we got home and I got her out of her seat and handed her to her Dad she was fine.  We did have a lot of fun with Aunt Darc and we got to try In N' Out Burger.  It was pretty good.

A Visit From Aunt Darcy: Part 1

THE JELLY BELLY FACTORY
When Aunt Darcy came to visit we had to take her to some of our favorite spots.  This was Darcy and Eliza's first visit to the Jelly Belly Factory.  I am not sure why they thought Eliza needed a cap, but they did.  I think she looks good sportin' the Jelly Belly logo!

Bradley, Darc and Daniel getting ready to start the tour.

Eliza didn't keep the hat on for long, but no one seemed to care since she is so cute.

They had their cool Jelly Belly Bikes again, so we had to get pictures.

This is the Sport Bean Bike.  Gotta love it!

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE
After we our tour at the Jelly Belly Factory we went to find our Dad at Base and have lunch.  After that we went to find the tank.  Since we never had our camera with us on any of our other visits we made sure we had it with us this time.  This is the tank we always have to find when we go to base.

They also have old bombs, missiles, large ammo, and that sort of thing laying around the building as decoration.  The boys love to look for them when we go see the tank.  They had to get a picture.

THE AIRPLANE MUSEUM
We love to see all the airplanes and fighter jets at the museum.  The fighter jets are our favorite!

We really enjoyed showing Aunt Darc around base and the Jelly Belly Factory.  We can't wait to show more of our friends and family around when they come.

Motorcycles?

Over the Christmas break our Dad taught us a new game. It is called "Mexican Motorcycle." You play the game by making the sound of a motorcycle using Mexican Food names. For instance, when a motorcycle starts it sounds like "burrito, burrito" and once it starts it says "taco, taco." When you crash on your motorcycle (obviously this is fun to do) you have to fix yourself by rolling a ball all over the parts that need fixing. This is Bradley and Daniel's interpretation of the Mexican Motorcycle!

So I couldn't tell where the camera was actually pointing and got a great, or not so great, shot of my double chin. We are still working on that!

Nap Time

Daniel decided he didn't want to take a nap, but knew if he came out of his room he'd get into trouble.  I heard him playing with something in the hall way and decided to ingore him.  (He is getting to where anything and everything he doesn't want to do becomes a battle, and I had listened to him cry enough that day that I didn't want to have to a battle over naptime.)  It worked...after about ten minutes the little noises stopped.  I figured he had gone back to bed.  I was pleasantly suprised to see this...

Notice the Monster Trucks!

He looks so sweet when he is asleep!

When Bradley was younger he was notorious for sleeping in his doorway, but Daniel hasn't ever done that before.  I thought it was cute, but Bradley thought it was silly for him to sleep on the floor.

Hair Cut and Hairbows

I have been waiting for several weeks to get my hair cut and finally got it done this last week. It isn't as short as I have had it in the past, but I am still enjoying. Since Sunday is one of the only days that I actually fix my hair, I had Andy get a picture after church.

Eliza is so cute all the time so she had to be in the picture too.

Some friends and I got together this last week to make baby bows/clippies. This head band has a ribbon on it so that you can change the bow. This clippie is one that I made this last week.

Eliza is just so cute that I had to put all the pictures in. She makes the cutest faces and noises these days. She really has EVERYONE in the family wrapped around her little finger!

**********************************

Eliza is such a pleasant baby! She has really started playing the "I'm so adorable you need to pick me up" game. She will smile and coo until you pick her up. It is so cute that we had to share!

To welcome in the New Year we did sparklers we have been saving since July. The boys thought they were pretty fun. Luckily for us they don't understand the whole "stay up till midnight" to welcome in the New Year. We let them stay up an hour later than usual and then did the sparklers and then sent them to bed.

This picture says it all!

******************************
This video is funny to me for various reasons, but some include Bradley saying "Happy Birthday" and Andy burning himself. He didn't get burned very bad at all and I turned it off just before he started to talk, but it was still funny to me! :)

Frog Sitting...

We have been fish and frog sitting for some friends this Holiday Season. It has been fun to watch them swim around and even more fun to watch them eat. We just had to get a video. The frogs watch the little blood worms and then they strike! Hope you enjoy it too.
