The Rest of The Trip

The second day Jason was with us and we went on a tour of the Base.  We had a lot of fun at the Airplane Museum.  The kids loved all the airplanes.

This is like the "Operation Dumbo Drop" airplane.

Anna loved to get her picture taken all alone.

Daniel was getting tired so he stole a ride with Eliza.

Ben in a flight simulator.

We went to feed the ducks at the park too.  Daniel was scared of the ducks and wouldn't go anywhere with our someone big.

Since Jason's plane came in so late the night before they were both pretty tired.  I can't believe how long they slept with "The Music Man" blarring on the TV and seven kids running around the house!  Aren't they cute?

Oakland Temple:

It was a beautiful day at the temple.  The flowers were just coming up well.   They smelled amazing!

There was a teenage girl watching her little cousin at the temple.  He was about 5 months old and he was screaming when we got onto the grounds.  He was still screaming when we were heading to the visitors center.  Laura was tempted to ask her if she needed help, but thought that might be a little bit inapropriate.  We didn't need to ask her because she walked up to us and asked if we spoke baby.  Laura had him calmed down pretty quickly.  He calmed down enough to leave him with his cousin and they both did fine.

We had lunch in the back of the rental van.

The Beach & The Bridge:

We haven't ever been the beach here before.  There weren't any rocks on the shore line, but the waves were still crashing in.  It was really pretty!

The waves made foam all along the shoreline.

Out of all the times I have been to the Golden Gate Bridge this was the first time I have actually walked out on to the bridge.

While we were out there a big tanker went under the bridge.  The kids were all really excited to see it.

It was giving this little tug boat a tow.

We were all pretty tired by the end of the day.

Visiting with our Bleazard Cousins:

The girls were having a pillow fight in Anna's room.

Bradley, Seth, Jake & Ethan had a fun playing with cars and building things with legos.

We had so much fun with our Mitchell Cousins.  Thanks for coming to visit us.  We miss you already!!

A visit from our Washington Cousins

Our Washington Mitchell Cousins came to visit for a few days on their way to "The Happy Place...Disney Land".  We haven't seen them for almost a year, so we were really excited to see them.  The first full day they were here we went to one of our favorite places...The Jelly Belly Factory!

Anna & Eliza

Ethen, Ben & Jessica

Ben & Eliza

Ben wanted to hold Eliza.  He bounced her just like Aunt Laura did and he put her right to sleep...what a guy!

Some of there friends came down from the Sacramento area to see them and join us at the Jelly Belly Factory.

Daniel loves these cars.

After our tour we went to the park for a picnic.

Aunt Laura has the magic touch!

Since they were missing a couple days of school they had travel journals they were using to document all their many adventures.

Anna was my best helper with Eliza

Ben showed us a new show called "Top Gear" on the Internet.  It has some great races between sports cars, buses, etc...  The boys loved it!!

Happy, Happy Birthday Mommy Dear

Andy was home for my birthday this year since he had surgery the day before.  We checked out this Monster Truck School Bus.  We also went to see "The Princess and The Frog."  We had the theatre to ourselves.  It is a cute movie and we all had fun.

It was closed for the day so the boys didn't get to ride, but we always look for it when we drive past.

Angie made some cupcakes for my birthday.  They had some really good fudged chocolate frosting on them.  The boys wanted candles too.  We lit them and Daniel started saying, "Happy New Year!"  It was pretty funny.  I just love little kids!

This is another super tower constructed by the boys.

New Eyes

This last week Andy had corrective eye surgery.  The proceedure was pretty fast and he was awake the whole time.  He has had a week off to recover from the surgery.  It has been nice to have him home even though he couldn't see very well at times.

Waiting to go under the lazer.

Andy with the surgeon

I am not sure which one is my favorite picture.  He has had to wear these goggles to help protect his eyes.  I am going to miss them! (Sigh...)
The day of the surgery wasn't bad at all, but the next couple of days were pretty rough.

The third day was the worst for him.  He had to be a pain killers all day!  His eyes where itchy and burned, and they felt like he had sand in them.  His vision was really blurry and sometimes he was seeing double.  Since then each day has been better and better.  His eyes are doing really good now and he can see pretty well.  Give him another week or so and then ask him if he thinks the surgery was worth it!
