Eliza at 5 Months

The last five months have been a lot of fun. Eliza is truly an angel baby. She is always so happy when she wakes up. We know that if she is not sleeping well something is wrong.

Just today she sat alone for about 15 seconds.
She loves sweet potatoes and peas are alright.
She has started to sleep from about 7 pm until 5am before waking to eat.
She loves to play with her brothers and finds other babies fascinating.

Her hair is finally long enough for me to put a clippy in it. She moves her head around quite a bit, so I have to have the boys distract her to get them in.

Thanks for the clippies Aunt Janna!

Let's Go Fly A Kite...

The boys got a kite for Easter so waited for a windy day and went to the park to fly a kite.

Daniel was so excited about flying the kite. It was so fun to watch and listen to him.

"Look Mom, I am doing it!"

Eliza loved being outside enjoying the fresh air.

Daniel was flying the kite and accidentally let go. He ran across the lawn chasing it saying, "Mommy it is getting away." His little legs couldn't go fast enough to catch it. Every time he got close the wind would move it a little farther out of his reach. Andy started chasing it, but it went across the road, through two trees and over a house before he caught up to it. Daniel was so upset about loosing the kite that he started to cry. After that Andy stayed close to make sure it didn't happen again.

"Up, up and away!"

Spring Rolls

My friend CJ makes spring rolls that are extremely good. She brought them to a playgroup once, but unfortunately I wasn't there. A couple weeks ago we got together so she could show us how to make them.

Some of the ingredients for the wraps...

We put chicken or shrimp, cucumbers, lettuce, mint leaves, cilantro, and bean sprouts in these rice wraps.

First you dip the rice wraps in hot water to soften them and wrap all the ingredients up.
The dipping sauce is made of vinegar, fish oil stuff, garlic and carrots.

CJ, Sam & Angie
I had issues with my wraps. They always had little air bubbles in them where part was still crunchy! It was fun to visit with the ladies and eat the spring rolls.

Eliza thought Jade was so funny!

Daniel adores Eliza. He loves to talk to her and make her laugh. It is so cute!

About Five Months

It is amazing how quickly Elyse and Eliza have grown. It is so fun to get these little girls together and watch how much they are progressing. They both have such different little personalities, but are both so sweet. We are going to miss getting matching outfits to do pictures. Dianna, Elyse's mom, found these cute green outfits and got one for both girls. It took us quite a while to get together for pictures, but we finally made.

I love Elyse's little chubby cheeks. She is such a doll!

Elyse was so happy and chatty until we started getting the girls in their matching outfits, then she decided she had had enough fun for the day. They still did pretty good with the pictures.

Eliza had just woken up, and she is always happy when she gets up!

Eliza is our little Angel Baby!

Putting the girls together was so fun. Elyse would smile and interact with us and the camera and Eliza was more interested in Elyse than the camera. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we do!

I just love this picture!

When the girls were on their backs is when Eliza really got interested in Elyse.

Gotta check out the ears...

"Yep! It's a good one."

"Wow! What a view!"

"Ooh, that tickles!"

Elyse was not a fan of laying on her belly.
She much prefers to sit so she can see what is going on. Elyse is getting pretty good at sitting alone. (Notice her mom isn't holding her!)

Happy Easter

Blogger is finally letting me upload pictures! These are all from Easter weekend, but not necessarily in order. Okay...not in order at all.

The boys coming back from delivering cookies to neighbors.

We got these really cool magnetic rocks. Our Dad showed us how to make them into earrings.

My tribal men!

Eliza putting the jumper to use.

Eliza needed a bath, but conference had already started so we used the kitchen sink so that we could still hear the talks.

Decorating the sugar cookies Grandma Shirley sent.

Thanks Grandma! WE all had fun making and decorating the cookies.

Eliza with her Easter basket and bead runner.

Bradley LOVES his harmonica.

Daniel got a helicopter launcher. We have had loads of fun with it!

Daniel got up before everyone else. He found chocolate eggs in the baskets and decided to taste test them before letting everyone else know. The guilty party!

Eliza loves playing in the jumper especially if she has someone to preform for.

Technical Difficulties

Do to some recent technical difficulties I am unable to upload pictures at this time.  Which is really too bad since I have some great Easter pictures and more pictures of Eliza and Elyse.  Hopefully I will get things figured out soon, but if not, Tory call me when your finals are over!!
