Playing in the Park

Nephi Park
During swimming lessons Eliza and Nathan liked to play at the park.
Nathan has decided he likes swings and Eliza has decided she is big enough to push him.

Nathan gets a kick out of his big sister!

Nathan loves the swing.

Eliza wanted to try out the baby swings.  It made her feel a little bit shy though.

She warmed up to it pretty quickly though.

Eliza wanted to take pictures since I was.  This one turned out pretty good.
It shows my pedicure from Aunt Andrea.

These pictures are from the day when we had a picnic lunch at the park after swim lessons.

This boy loves the swing!

Eliza wasn't as happy about the swing this day.

The slide was much better!

"What?  This is yours?"

Daniel has entered the "posing" stage.

Bradley likes to eat his yogurt without a spoon.  I have asked him not to do that because it isn't using his manners.
However, on this day we forgot spoons!  Bradley was thrilled!
Eliza just wanted to get her picture taken and if you have to do silly things to get that accomplished...so be it. :0)

We love picnics in the park!

Grandma look at this!
I am not exactly sure what Daniel is doing with those chips, but he did want a pictures.

Slides are one of our favorite things at the park.

Peek-a-boo!

Levan Park
The kids saw the Levan park everyday as we went in to swim lessons and asked to play at the "Dinosaur" park.
Grandma took the kids up on Saturday, July 6, 2013.
They had a blast!

The kids played hide-n-seek.
Notice Eliza hiding under the Dinosaur tail.

There was a couple from my parents ward that were having a family reunion at the park.
They had a big remote controlled monster truck.  The kids LOVED it!

Grave Digger is one of our favorite Monster Trucks.

There also had an enchanted forest with lots of animals.
Eliza liked the bear.

Daniel was less enthusiastic about the huge monkey!

They were making stick horses for the kids at the reunion as well.
Eliza got to model one for Grandma so we can make some one of these days.

Shooting the bow and arrows at hoola-hoops hung in the tree was one of Daniel's favorite things.

Bradley did pretty well.

They use 50 gallon barrels to make a train for the kids to ride in.
We can't wait to get Grandpa to make some for the grand kids to try out.

After exploring all the fun things at the reunion it was back to the playground!
Where's Bradley!

There he is!  On the giant spider.

Playing at the park was so fun.  Thanks Grandma for taking us!

Swim Lessons

Since we were in Utah for so long Bradley and Daniel got to take swim lessons from June 24- July 5, 2013.
They had lessons everyday for two weeks at 11:30.  They loved their instructors and the chance to be in the pool everyday!

This is the first day.  They played games and tried to get a feel for how comfortable the kids were in the water.

After the first day they broke the group into two classes.  Bradley and Daniel were in a group of 6-7 kids.

"Red light, Green light" was one of their favorite games they played at the end of class.
Bradley got to be in charge this round.

Daniel reaching for Bradley...
Daniel and Bradley have become VERY competitive!

Daniel working on his "bobs".  He made a lot of progress in swim lessons.
He will now put his head under water!

"Keep going Daniel!"

"Good job Buddy!"

Bradley had no problem adapting to the water.

One of the days they learned how to safely pull someone out of the pool by laying on their stomachs and reaching.

"I got this one down!"

They also learned to look before you jump.  They had to make sure it was save before they jumped in.
 Daniel loved the jumping part!

The last day of swim lessons was a free play day.  The kids got to play anywhere in the pool and test out their new skills.
Bradley loved going off the diving board!

Bradley also tried the rock climbing wall.  It is pretty cool.

Daniel loved going down the new water slides.
(At least they are new to me!)

Bradley practicing his back float with "spider man arms."

Daniel and Bradley playing tag in the pool.
They both learned a lot and passed off all their requirements.  Now we just need to find a pool and practice the new skills.
