Every year Duke has an employee appreciation game day. They have games, food and football tickets for all Duke employees. Our neighbor Marek works for Duke and offered to take us again this year. It was very unfortunate for Andy. Since he was on call he couldn't go with us. It turned out well for our neighbor Mr. Charlie because he got to go instead. We headed for the game around 1:30. It took a while to find a parking place. Margaret road with Nathan, Eliza and I to the game. We ended up parking over a mile away! We got there just in time to eat.

Bradley is always very curious about whatever Marek is doing. He loves to go "help" him with an project he has going.

After eating we headed over to the stadium to watch the game.
Duke was playing against Troy.
Eliza started to get tired and whiny. She kept asking to sit on my lap. You can see she isn't feeling her best in this picture.

Duke won. There were some great plays and the boys loved it!

Nathan didn't care about the game. He just wanted to explore the area. Marek went to retrieve him one of the times he wandered off. I am not sure what they talked about, but it seems to have been a good conversation. :0)

Nathan wasn't too impressed with his first football game, but he did have fun playing with the spectators all around us.

Eliza fell asleep on me. I knew it was a bad sign, she had started to fever again.

Dukes Marching Band did a great job during half time.
It was fun to watch them make different formations as the performed.

Since Eliza was fevering again Margaret helped me get back to the van with Eliza and Nathan. Then we dropped her off as close the stadium as possible so she could finish watching the game, and keep track of Bradley and Daniel. Margaret and Marek are lifesavers!

A side story...as we were getting ready to go to the game I asked Bradley to change his shorts. He thought he should change his shirt too. He put on his UNC t-shirt. When I saw him I told him he couldn't wear the UNC shirt to the game. He didn't understand why he couldn't wear it. :0)
