Six Years Old Already!?

Nov. 13, 2015

Eliza had another birthday!  I can't believe she is six already.  She is such a joy to have in our family.  She is learning in school so quickly and is anxious to try new things.

This is her new bike next to her old one.  She was getting a little bit big for it.

Dad getting it ready the night before.

Eliza with her new bike.  She loved it!

She also got a couple small gifts.

Ariel was a big hit!  She is one of Eliza's favorite princesses.

A birthday hug from Dad before he had to head to work.

Eliza got dressed super fast so she could try her bike before Dad went to work.

She did really well.  She was a little bit nervous and needed a little help getting started since the new bike was a little bit bigger than her old one.

Daniel was good to help her get started.

Dad showing her how it's done!  The only thing better than a man in uniform is a man in uniform on a little purple bike!  Wouldn't you agree?

The birthday cake!  Eliza is getting into My Little Ponies.

Birthday girl and cake.

This is Josh, just shy of 6 months, enjoying the celebration.

Cake time!
Eliza invited a friend and her family to come roast marshmallows and have cake.

Elijah, Hannah, Jacob, Sarah and Eliza as we sang Happy Birthday.

Bradley getting ready to help blow out the candles.

Make a wish!
Here's to another great year with a terrific girl!
Happy Birthday Eliza!

Veteran's Day Program

Nov. 11, 2015
We enjoyed another great Veteran's Day program at the elementary school this year.  It was fun to see Bradley, Daniel and Eliza in the program.  As we were arriving we walked passed stars that each class had made.  They honored the veteran's and were very patriotic.  The kids in the class all drew a picture and then the art teacher picked the best three for that class to be on the star.

Bradley's class
Can you find his name?  I'll give you a clue, it is in green.

Eliza's class
Eliza drew the picture of the eagle on the flag.
Can you find her name?

Daniel's class
Daniel drew the obelisk.
Can you find his name? Clue, his is in cursive.

We found Daniel as the kids all filed out to line up for the program.

This is our group. Bro and Sis. Allen, Josh, Nathan and Dad

Eliza, just behind the boy in orange plaid and the girl in pink.

This is the Keesler AF color guard presenting the colors.

Singing the National Anthem.

Daniel waving his flag during the National Anthem.

Bradley

Nathan found a good place to watch the program.

Daniel and Ben, a little boy from my primary class.
Ben is in the gray shirt with a flag just in front and to the left of Daniel.

Ben singing...

Eliza was hard to find because she wasn't on the front row.

This is Bradley's friend Josh J.  He sang one of the songs...can't remember which on.  Unfortunately his mic wasn't on, so we couldn't hear him.

Daniel after the program.  We are super proud of all his hard work in school this year.

Bradley has made a lot of progress this year too.  He is a great big brother.

Jett is another little boy from my primary class.

Bradley went and grabbed Eliza so we could get a good picture of her.  Her teacher just told him to make sure she made it back to class after we were done.  (I love small schools!)
Happy Veteran's Day!  Thank you to all the service men and women who have served or are currently serving!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!
We had our ward trunk or treat on Oct. 22nd and didn't trick or treat in the neighbor hood until Nov. 2nd due to some rain in the area.  It seemed like Halloween lasted forever!  We did have some fun though.

Boo and Sully from Monster's Inc.
AKA: Bro. Hoopes and Sadie

The Dial family

Peter Pan, a Ninja  Turtle and the Grinch playing games.

This game was the "Feed the Ghost" bean bag toss.

Caralee and Paige

The Grinch with young batman and what he morphs into.

Our van was a large ghost.

This Mario themed car was super fun.

Fun with lights.

Fun with spider webs.

We were in such a hurry to get to the ward party that I didn't get any pictures of the kids in their costumes until the night they went trick or treating in the neighborhood.

There was a sneaky little ninja at our house. :)

Eliza was Rapunzel

Her hair has gotten so long!

Bradley and his friend Josh

The force is strong with....one of these!?  :)

Daniel was a vampire!  For the ward party he left his teeth at home and went as the Count of Monte Cristo.

The Grinch!

This is his "I must stop Christmas from coming!" look.

The cutest Batmen ever!

Josh barely fit into his 6-12 month costume.  He looked super cute though.

Andy ended up staying home and passing out candy again this year.  Bradley went with his friend Josh and I took the other four.  A couple of the dental assistance from ward came too.  While we were out Andy opened our last bag of candy and emptied it into the bowl.  Then he walked around the corner of the house to put the wrapper in the garbage.  When he came around the corner there was a group of kids comoing up the driveway.  He put on his masked and jumped out of the shadows!  He scared the pants off the kids.  One little kid even ran off crying.  He felt really bad about making that little kid cry.  The best part was a family in the ward was on the side walk and saw the whole thing!  Halloween is so much fun. ;0)
