Since Andy had the week off we decided to head up to D.C. to see Jenny and the sites.
ARLINGTON CEMETERY
We reached the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier just as they were starting the changing of the guard. It was pretty cool to see. They have a guard there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They change at the top of every hour. Bradley still occasionally shows us how they clicked their heels together when they marched.
This is one of the tributes to the Armed Forces outside Arlington Cemetery.
Another tribute to the Sea Bees
The Lincoln Memorial
This was a cute little pond with ducks and of course the Washington Monument in the background.

THE PENTAGON
Eliza loved having her Dad all to her self! The only place you can take pictures around the Pentagon is at the Memorial garden. The benches in the garden are in rows according to their ages. The youngest killed on Sept. 9, 2001 was 3 years old, and the oldest was 71 years old. When the looking at the benches at the name en scribed on it, if you look up and see the Pentagon, that person was killed in the Pentagon, but if you look up and see the sky that person was on the plane.
