Wee Wee All The Way Home!

About a week ago I decided to start getting Bradley thinking about potty training. I got him a "Tuishy Cuishy"toilet seat just his size, a step stool so he could reach the bowl, and some special books to read while he sits on the toilet. He has sat on it a couple times during the week and read his books, but he didn't use the toilet. On Sunday morning Andy helped him stand on the step stool and pee pee in the toilet. He was so proud of himself and we praised him for a long time.

Last night Bradley was in his high chair eating and then he stood up and started taking off his shorts. Andy asked him what he was doing and Bradley replied, "Pee pee". I couldn't believe it! We rushed him in the bathroom and he stood on the step stool. He only had a couple drops, which landed on the rim of the bowl, but we told him how big he was anyway. Then he wanted to sit down and read. We got him set up on his "tuishy cuishy" and within a couple seconds he finished peeing! We were all dancing around and telling him how wonderful he was to use the toilet just like mom and dad!

I know this will most likely not be a normal thing for him, but I was excited that he was showing an interest and we haven't had to push him too much. I think I was much more excited about the whole thing than anyone else. I would have taken pictures, but they make you click on a thing saying you won't post anything inappropriate on your blog when you sign up!)

That is SO exciting. We are trying to swing the potty thing with Ryan right now. But we are also trying to kick the binky habit. I think I want the binky habit broken more right now though. Plus I'm debating if Ryan is really ready.

Good job Bradley!! Definitely a proud parent moment.
