Happy 2nd Birthday!

I can't believe that my baby turned 2! He has been such a delight to have in our home. He can often be heard saying, "Come get me Dad." and then you hear high pitched squealing all the way down the hall. Daniel and Bradley have quickly become best buds and always look out for each other, unless there is chocolate involved, then it is every boy for himself. Daniel is still very cuddly and loves to snuggle while watching movies or reading stories. He comes to find me every morning and snuggles for about 15-20 minutes before he starts asking for breakfast.
We love you Daniel Piggy!!

I was really unprepared for Daniel's birthday this year. We had some company up until the day before his birthday and I didn't get out shopping for his present until his birthday. It wasn't until that night that I realized I only had Christmas paper! I wrapped the presents with the inside out and used makers to write on it. (It's a good thing he is only 2 yrs.)
He got so excited when he saw it was a Thomas the Train set that he started shaking! It was really cute to watch. I couldn't get him to look at the camera for a picture because he was so excited about the present.

We had to talk him into opening the first small present. Once he saw that it was another train he got pretty excited about the other small ones.

Here he is helping clean up the beaters after we made his cake!

It didn't turn out too bad for how simple it was. I cut the picture out on card stock and glued pieces of tooth picks to the back so that it would sit just above the frosting on the cake.

We had some friends come help us eat the cake.

Daniel, Bradley & Aiden.
Aiden's parents, CJ and Joe, came along with Airplane Scott and Dr. Scott.
We had a lot of fun visiting. Thanks for coming to help us with the cake!!

Daniel and Bradley have been playing with the trains so well today that I thought I should document it. Daniel was willing to smile until I insisted that he take out his Binky. Then the 2 yr. in him came out!

We had weeping, wailing, and the throwing of train cars!

This video shows how excited he was opening his presents. You can't really see him shaking, but his little arms were shaking with some much excitement.

This video might be a little bit dark but it was too cute. Daniel was trying to blow out his candles, but he was having a few struggles. Watch his hair and you can see why!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has to use Christmas wrapping paper for birthdays. I did that with Caleb this year. :) Oops!

I can't believe he's two!!!
