We had a field trip with our preschool group. It happened to be on Eliza's birthday, so we took some mini cupcakes with us. We went to Lynn Meadows Children's Museum.
When we got there there was a school group there, so we went to the art room first.
Each of the kids got to make a card or color an animal. Eliza and Nathan did a fish and an owl.
Rachel and Abby
Nathan and his owl.
After the art room we headed out to see some of the "real life" things.
Nathan and Carmen shoveling coal for the steam engine.
Eliza checking out the train table.
Nathan on the bow of a fishing boat.
Bailey was the captain.
Abby, Abby and Delaney were working the nets for crabs.
They got to sort the crabs and put the little ones back in the blue bucket for release.
It was fun to watch the kids play.
Nathan also worked the docks loading and unloading the boats.
Abby, Delaney and Abby took turns running the crane.
The littlest explorers loved the crabs.
Then we headed up the stairs to more exploration rooms.
In this room you could fly on a plane to take a safari.
Nathan and Carmen were the pilots.
Eliza had fun finding all the animals on safari.
There was a train that ran around the room.
Eliza and Nathan just noticing the lions on the roof top.
Nathan had to get a better look!
There was also a small boutique. The girls tried on hats, had a tea party and played the piano.
Carmen, Mom-Caitlin, and Luke
Rachel was ready to have a tea party!
One of the favorites was the grocery store. They could shop, stock or check out.
Abby getting some flowers.
Bailey was working the meat counter.
Abby was ringing people up so they could check out.
Delaney was a shopper.
Carmen and Delaney discussing which items to get.
They also had a news studio. The kids could pretend to do the news cast.
Nathan was manning a desk.
The monitor for the three cameras.
Nathan was just hanging out at the desk.
This netted contraction was three stories high. The kids could enter or exit on all the levels.
Nathan loved climbing up and down. It was hard to talk him into getting out.
Looking in from the second floor enterance.
Eliza went in to get Nathan.
She never could catch him. He was too fast.
It was cold and rainy so we weren't able to go out and enjoy the tree houses.
I took this picture form inside.
Carmen and Nathan in the huge nest!

Eliza checking out the Vet Clinic.
This is Rachel's little sister.
Luke, Carmen's little brother
Abby was giving the animals a check up.
Nathan on the airplane rocker.
He might need one.

Rachel, Eliza, Carmen, Delaney, Abby R., Abby W, and Bailey
Nathan and Cohen jumped in for the picture as well.
We made Eliza a small princess cake.
Happy Birthday Eliza!
