This is what an apple swan looks like after spending 2-3 weeks in the fridge. The kids wouldn't let me throw it out because they liked it so much. When it started to sprout more "feathers" I decided it was time to go.
There is a hawk living in the neighborhood. We see her flying around sometimes. Recently we have seen her sitting in the trees out front of the house. When I saw her in the tree next to our house I grabbed the camera to see how close I could get before she took off.
Can you see her?

Oh my stars! I love the apple swan. It looks like it is growing a beard.
