Field Trips Part 2: Daniel

On March 21, 2014 Daniel's class went to the Nasher Art Museum.
They talked about adjectives to describe what kind of feelings could be portrayed in the paintings.  Then they all got an adjective on a piece of paper and had color or decorate it according to how it made them feel.

Daniel got the word lonely.

Ms. Tiffany checking on their progress.

Daniel getting closer to being done.

Some of the other artwork.

Happy faces...

Silly faces!

It was a fun trip to the art museum.  However, I have decided that I am not familiar enough with art to know what constitutes "good" art.  There were several paintings I wouldn't have picked to put in my studio!  I guess it is a good thing I don't work there.  :0)

And Flowers...
The spring flowers have really been coming out recently and it is beautiful!
These daffodils were on Duke campus as I was driving back from the museum.

The popcorn on our tree out front with the bird house.

A couple different angels.

Bradley loves to climb the tree on the side of the garage.  He really needs a climbing tree.  This one isn't really that great for climbing.

The next pictures are of the flowers in the cul-de-sac.  Not all of them are in our yard, but we can see them all from our front window.  :0)

Nathan loves to rip the petals off the branches!

The pansies are in the planters on our deck.  I planted them last October and they have lived through all the cold spells and snow we have had.  They are really pretty right now.

I was trying to get Nathan to smell the flowers.  It was pretty funny.

I love spring, the weather, the flowers, the new little critters...the list goes on.  I am thankful to live in such a beautiful part of the country.

I really like the 3rd shot of your tree blossoms - the one that is looking up the branches. Tyler would be so proud! I love all the beautiful flowers you have.
