Back in the Lone Star State

July 19-22, 2014

We flew back to Texas on the 18th.  As a result of her UTI, flying to and from Utah, and playing with cousins all day for a week Eliza was pretty tired!  She couldn't even finish the yummy food Grandma made for us.

Grandpa was happy to have us back.  We always have fun when we visit Grandma and Grandpa.

Aunt Lily drove up from San Antonio to see us.  We all enjoyed playing with Alina and Linden.

Alina, Nathan and Eliza playing ring-around-the-rosies.

Daniel came in from helping Dad and Grandpa outside to join in on the fun, and cool down.

Uncle Bucky came with Aunt Vickie to visit for awhile and see the kids.

Bradley

Grandpa has some cows in the back yard to eat the grass and to wait for the calves to come.

Yoplaid likes to come up to the house and see what is up.

She made some of the kids a little nervous because she is so big.

Grandpa taught the boys a game he and Grandma use to play went they were first married.
It is a fun variation of war.  You roll a dice and your weapon changes depending on the number that comes up.  Bradley was excited about his turn to roll the dice.

Grandpa helped keep track of the score.  They played for hours.

Getting Dad to play was one of our favorite things.  Alina and Nathan were taking turns feeding him.

Then Nathan decided he needed a little more attention.  What better way to get it than to sit on your dad's head!?

The kids also enjoyed playing on the playhouse out back.  The slide was a favorite.

We found several cicadas out back.  This one hung around for a while.

Bradley pointing out the exo-skeleton from the cicada.

We were excited to see the kittens when we got back.  The only sad part is that their mom went missing the night before we got back.  It was so sad.  We had to feed them with a syringe ever couple hours.  The white ones were doing well, but the little black and white one wasn't in very good shape.  He came around though.

The kids played with the kittens for hours.

One of the days we headed over to Longview to the splash park.  It was super fun!
Alina on one of the water slides.

Nathan was one of the littlest kids on the slide and all the girls thought he was so cute!  They thought they needed to help him get off.  He just wanted them to get out of his way.

The boys in one of the "showers".

This football slide was smaller than the basketball slide and didn't have as many kids in line.  Nathan preferred this one.  Not as many kids at this one. ;)

Bradley and Daniel were good to help keep track of Nathan.  That boy gets into everything.

Aunt Vickie keeping track of Linden.

Linden is such a sweet boy.

Eliza

Daniel laying under the big bucket waiting for it to start raining down!

Here comes the rain!

It keeps coming...

and coming...

Eliza preferred the smaller water fountains.

Alina

Uncle Bucky and Grandma kept track of our towels and snacks.

A group picture before we headed out.

I love looking at their different little faces in the sequence of pictures.

We had a lot of fun playing at the splash park.  Thanks Aunt Lily for taking us!
