A Change In Perspective...

"HOW I FINALLY TAUGHT THE BIG GUY A LESSON"

I did not provoke the fight, so I feel no remorse for what I was forced to do. We were arguing, and seeing that I was right and he was wrong, he decided to fight to cover for his stupidity. He swung at me first, but being in top condition, I was able to act quickly and block the punch neatly with my head. Where upon I lurched to the ground knocking him down on top of me. Then I placed me ear in his mouth and poked his finger with my eye. His teeth hurt so from the strength of my ear, that he became irate and tried to kick me. But....I cleverly blocked the onslaught with my ribs and face. I scrambled to me feet and ran to my car hoping I could get away and save this man from my deadly hands. Before I could get my car started, he pulled me from the still opened door. I then proceeded to swing at him, but only managed to hit myself in the head. To this I said, "What's this? Two against one?" That was the final straw! I lost all control. There would be no mercy!! Taking him in my death grip, I pounded him in the knee with my stomach---then I clobbered him two or three times in the fist with my teeth! He had had it! I could tell. After that he didn't even try to pick me up off the ground. He was too chicken!!!

Aunt Katie: Part 7

The Videos...

The Air Force Song.

In this presentation the handler warns the guy he is going to let the dog go. The guy tries to run, but gives up after the handler lets the dog go. The handler yells and the dog stops! It was pretty cool to see. All the participants were in the Air Force.

The Color Guard uses real rifles with bayonets on the end. I wouldn't want to be the guy in the middle! It was pretty cool to see all the things they did and they never got off beat.

Bradley loved playing in the "waters" at the beach. The only reason he got out was because he was getting cold!

These seagulls would gather if they thought they could get a free meal. It was cool to see them so close, but we didn't enjoy all the little presents they would drop.

Aunt Katie: Part 6

The Alamo...
I know this has been a Marathon of postings, but we took a lot of pictures and had a lot of fun! We put Aunt Katie to work packing the little pig! We are ready for a day down town.
The Air Force was doing some presentations at the Alamo in honor of Fiesta San Antonio.
This is the AF marching band made up of new recruiters.

These are two of the dog teams that patrol bases, look for explosives, drugs, etc...
It was fun to watch the demonstrations of how the teams work.
Here the dog is helping escort the suspect to where ever they need to take him. That dog was just waiting for that guy to blink wrong!
The Color Guard! They were so cool. I wouldn't want to be the guy in the middle if anyone made a mistake! We had a lot of fun.

One of the many beautiful flowers at the Alamo!

The River Walk...

It was a lot of fun to have Aunt Katie here! Thanks for coming to visit us.

Aunt Katie: Part 5

Hemisfair Park...
Also known as the Tower of Americas! This where the world fair was held in 1966. There is a plaque with the names of all who had booths or stands at the fair, and guess who was there? The Mormons! Just a little trivia for you.

This is the west entrance.
This squirrel wasn't as scarred of Andy and Daniel as he was of Bradley.
The three handsome little pigs!

Daniel didn't want to take any pictures. He just wanted to walk around in the water!
Daniel in his new birthday shirt. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa K.
Katie had to chase Bradley down a lot. We were very glad she was there!

The Japanese Tea Gardens...

We have never been the the Tea Gardens when they weren't being renovated. Katie had perfect timing because everything was open, there was water, and everything was in bloom! I think the pictures will speak for themselves.

When visiting San Antonio this is a must see!

Aunt Katie: Part 4

The USS LEXINGTON...
I have seen the USS Lexington a couple of times, but we had never gone on it until this weekend. It was pretty cool! There were several little self guided tours to go on. We saw a lot of the ship, but when we got thinking about it there was a lot that wasn't open to the public. We spent about 4 hours there and could have stayed longer if Bradley and Daniel hadn't gotten so tired.

Bradley & Aunt Katie

We thought this was an appropriate place for Bradley & Aunt Katie!
Bradley really like the little tracker. They used these to move the planes around and get them ready to take up to the flight deck.
This explains the system they used to launch the fighter jets.

One of the many stair cases we climbed up and down! They were really steep!
This was near the fire department part of the ship. I just thought it was a funny sign!
Outside the theatre. They turned one of the elevators used to lift the jets to the flight deck into a theatre. We watched a film about a fighter pilot. It was awesome! Daniel even sat still the whole time and watched it. It showed how they do their training exercises. It is pretty high tech. We highly recommend that one to anyone who goes!

This is the flight deck. Bradley loved running from plane to plane. He also liked looking over the edge at the "waters".This is the same make and model John McCain flew.
One of the many guns on the USS Lexington. Bradley and Aunt Katie are pretty good shots!
This shows the armada of ships that travelled with the USS Lexington. It is the large one in the middle of the formation.

Taking a breather in the barber shop! $3 a hair cut.Bradley loved that the chairs still twirl.
This is an oil tanker heading out. It was amazing what you could see from the Bridge.

A father-son moment outside the store.
This is one of the dental chairs. They had an x-ray machine, a lab, a couple chairs, etc... everything you would need or have in a regular office. They also had a mini hospital or sick bay. It really is a floating city! The amazing thing is that even though we thought it was huge and would have gotten lost without signs it isn't as big as the flat top air craft carriers they use these days. We really enjoyed it and recommend going to anyone who is debating, but can't make up their minds. You will love it! Thanks Aunt Katie for coming! We may not have made it there if you hadn't come. :)
