We recently learned that a new Bass Pro Shoppe opened in Cary, NC not far from our house. Since our Dad had some training all day we decided to go check it out. We got there around 10 am and a worker asked if we were staying until noon for their free fishing. The kids were super excited about fishing, so we did our best to entertain ourselves.
This is above the front doors. I loved it!
Eliza was a little bit concerned about the skeletons on the wall. Apparently she doesn't do antlers with her decorating. :0)
Bradley immediately picked this four wheeler as the one he needs!
Daniel wanted this "camouflaged army" four wheeler.
Eliza and Nathan were content to settle for the classic red.
When I saw these boars above the dressing room it reminded me of a Pigs on Wild show I saw recently. These babies get BIG!
They had a great fish tank. The kids were hoping to fish for these "daddy" fish.
"Look at these big fish! Can I fish here, please!"
"I think that one is a grouper."
The fish were interested in Bradley.
Nathan on the other hand was interested in them!
Bradley was the bravest when I asked if anyone wanted a picture with the grizzly bear.
Daniel wanted to be next, but Eliza was excited to be in the picture too.
Which made Daniel not so excited.
Daniel doing his, I am not sure what to call it, pose.
Nathan was excited about the pontoon boats.
"Hold on here we go!"
Bradley, Daniel and Eliza exploring more pontoons.
There were so many places to explore.
"I am Daniel. Captain Daniel Piggy! Now you have heard of me."
So comfy.
Nathan thought he was big driving all the boats.
Then we moved on to the "Bad Boy." The kids think we should get one...or two. :0)
Eliza decided this four wheeler with a second seat is the one we should get.
Daniel on the other hand thinks this one is more his size.
We found the kids gift shop. Eliza wanted the pink cowgirl hat and stick horse.
"Does this hat make my head look big?"
Bradly opted for the old flint riffle and the coon skin cap!
Does he look like Davy Crockett?
Daniel king of the wild frontier!
"A girl can't have too many hats...right?!"
Daniel, his pose, and Bradley.
"I am not sure about his hat."
We explored for about an hour and decided that we needed to find some food before the fishing at noon. We headed across the parking lot to one of our new favorite places. Chick-Fil-A!
Daniel eat all his nuggets and fruit!
Eliza didn't want her picture taken while she ate. How embarrassing to have people know she eats!
Bradley likes the fries the best.
Nathan liked the chicken, but not the pickle.
After lunch we headed back to fish! We sent a text to our Dad to see if he could come find us on his lunch break. Luckily his training was just a couple miles away and he was able to come find us.
After a 45 minute wait in line Bradley was the first to try his hand at fishing.
Daniel was next...
Bradley caught a fish with in about 3 minutes!
Bradley taking his fish to get a picture.
Dad and Nathan jumped in a picture with him.
Bradley with is catch!
Mean while back at the fishing pool...
Eliza finally got a fishing pole!
(Daniel is fishing across from her.)
She tried hard to get the little fish to bite.
Daniel wasn't having any better luck across the way.
He got one in his sight...
Bradley came for back up...and Daniel caught one! Just as the fish broke the water it came off the hook. He was so sad! Eliza never got more than a nibble on her sinker.
Bradley working on the craft. If the kids did the craft and the fishing they could get a free tackle box.
Daniel and Eliza working on their art work.
The camera at Bass Pro broke so they never got to have their picture taken with the "big fish."
Dad and Nathan
Poor Nathan was getting pretty tired by the end, but we had to look at the boats one more time with Dad.
Eliza with her big catch!
Daniel with his great white!
It was a fun day at Bass Pro. We just loved the fish cross walk. We thought Grandpa might like one on his driveway. :0)

So this is what you were doing up so late! Is there a Pro Bass Shop in Utah. I might need to take Grandpa. I can tell it was a fun day. Best of all Andy looked like he might live. I have worried about it! I can't believe how much Nathan has changed since last summer. Can you come for the summer again?
I love our Bass Pro shop! I am pleased to see Nathan in a pink hat, Luke can't be the only one :)That was really cool!
