Tree Trimming Part 2: The Monkey

After Marek got back from his trip to Washington, where he met our Mitchell cousins and had dinner, he got right to work finishing the tree trimming.  Since he scratched his head during the first trimming, I offered him the use of my hard hat.  Too bad he has a big head.  :0)

Marek getting ready to destroy all branches in his path!!!

Margaret gathered the branches and loaded them on the trailer as the fell.

Nathan and Eliza were the cheering section.

They took 3 trailer loads and filled two more large yard waste bins.
It was a busy day...for them.  :0)

There's a monkey in the tree.

With a chain saw on a pole.

Nathan was very intrigued with all this action.  He really wanted to be the monkey in the tree.  We had to stop him from climbing the latter multiple times.

The chain saw on a pole was very effective.  The boys think we need to get one.
In the end Margaret ended up wearing the hard hat.  It saved her a couple times when branches fell out of the tree on her head.  (They were small branches.)
I am very grateful for such kind and patient neighbors.  They were good to let the kids "help" gather the branches.  Bradley and Daniel are always happy and willing to help Marek and Margaret with any projects they have going.  Sometimes I feel they are more of a hindrance than a help, but Marek and Margaret never treat them that way.  I will always be grateful for their love and examples!
