Epic Water Fight

After being out on the farm all morning the kids were pretty hot.  They headed home for some lunch.

Of course we all enjoyed taking turns feeding our cousin's pet turtle.

He was so cute!  

Our dad figured out that the turtle likes to eat dead or stunned flies.  Once he figured that out all the kids looked for flies to kill and drop in the tank. It was pretty funny.

Since it was so hot out we decided the kids needed to play in the water.

Turning that many kids lose with water guns is a little bit dangerous if you want to stay dry.

The boys quickly divided into groups for an epic water fight!

The girls had so much fun together.

Once the water guns got old they moved on to water balloons.

Cannon's team filled theirs in back.

Xane, Locke and Bradley filled up in the front.

Then the water fight began.

Nathan slept through most of the water fight.  He woke up in time for Popsicles.

The boys started to throw water balloons at me so I had to chase them down and throw buckets of water on them.  Cannon tried to chase me with the cooler.  However there was too much water in it for him to catch me.  I waited for him to follow me around the corner but when he didn't come I peeked back.  He was standing on the deck waiting for me to come out the other side.  I didn't fall for the trick, but he did talk his brothers and Bradley into falling for it.  He told them to wait for him on the grey wall in back.  Then he sneaked up and dumped the cooler full of water on them.  It was so funny I made them reenact it so I could get pictures.

and down it came!

Aah!  The water is cold!!

The girls thought it looked like so much fun that they needed to try it.

It was so funny to listen to them.  Verin started out by asking Eliza how her day was.

Then the water came!

It was pretty cold.

They were good sports about it.

Andy and Uncle Levi came just as things were wrapping up.  We couldn't talk them into sitting down there. :0)

Daniel and Xane were the last victims of the day.

Then our dad got his swim suite on and came to join the kids.  All of the sudden they had a second wind and the water fight was on again!

I think everyone had a water gun except for Andy.

Then he decided to try the slip n' slide.

Nathan thought the water fight was hilarious. 

After we all dried off and had dinner we went back out front to try Cannon's remote control truck again.
