Monster Truck Show

Feb. 27, 2015

We were excited to share our first family Monster Truck show with Grandma.
Bradley and Daniel went to one in NC, but not the rest of us. We are pumped!

I didn't think they would let us take pictures with our camera, so all I took was my phone.  I did get some fun pictures though.
Full Boar doing free style.

Dad, Bradley, Daniel and Eliza watching the trucks come out.
We sat right above the entrance to the arena.  It was fun to see them up close!

Nathan loved the monster trucks!!

Grandma checking her camera to see if she got a good picture.

El Torro Loco!
His driving matched his name perfectly!

Grave Digger!

The red lights on the front make him have a more sinister look.
He is definitely one of the most experienced drivers.

Between the events they had four wheeler races.
At first we thought they were kids, but they weren't.  These are adults...that haven't completely grown up yet. :0)  Who wouldn't want to race around at neck breaking speeds!?

They also had a robotic show down.
The vehicles came out and transformed in front of us.  Then they shot lasers at each other.  One even shot fire!  It was pretty exciting.

This is Mohawk.
I loved his "hair do."

He didn't compete in all the events.  He did pretty good in the donut competition though.

El Torro Loco did really well until the end when he tipped over.

He climbed out uninjured.

They brought in a loader and had him right side up in no time at all.

He did manage to amputate on horn though.
It didn't slow him down at all.  He finished out the competition.
I believe he got second place and Grave Digger got first over all.

The air the get is amazing!
You have to be a special kind of crazy to do this!

A look at the robotic vehicles.

You can see the hole in the roof of the red one.  He was the looser in the battle even though he is the one that shot fire!
The monster truck show was very exciting and a lot more family friendly than we thought it would be.  We can't wait for them to come again.  We might have to make it a tradition. ;)
