Daniel Albert Shirley was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Grandpa and Grandma Shirley, Aunt Vickie, Aunt Janna, Abby, and Ammon were able to join us. We also had great support from ward members.
Andy and Daniel before the baptism.
Aunt Janna got a couple of pictures for me while I was getting the programs printed off.
I loved the sequence of pictures. I love these two!

The font wasn't filled all the way. Andy didn't look at it before hand, so we didn't realize how low the water really was until it was time to baptize Daniel. The water only came to his knees. Daniel's knee came up the first time, so he had to be baptized again.
Those that participated in the conformation: Dad(Andy), Grandpa Shirley, Bishop Perkes, Bro. Parker, Bro. Martin, Bro. Hutton, Bro. Wake, and Bro. Johns.
Getting a group shot was quite fun. It was starting to sprinkle and the kids were ready to be done.

We are so glad everyone was able to make it!
Bradley was sure Daniel needed bunny ears....
I joined the group for a couple pictures.
Gotta love these kids!

Daniel chose to have brownies, jello and Sprite for his dessert. The jello was a big hit with the kids and the Primary Pres., Sister Davis, made jello in Star Wars molds. It was really fun.
After we got home we finally did Daniel's birthday cake! (Only a few days late.)
Make a wish!
We did have to have a small snack before we had ice cream cake and pie!
(Aunt Janna was here so we had three kinds of pie!) :)
Grandpa, Grandma and Aunt Vickie had to get back to TX because they had to work, so they left Sunday morning. It was so good to see them and we are so glad they came. We just wish they could have stayed a little longer! Thanks for making the trip!
Sunday afternoon we took a short walk with Aunt Janna, Abby and Ammon.
Aunt Janna had her camera and documented some of the fun.
As soon as Nathan realized she was taking pictures he had to be in the middle of them.
Of course he had to ham it up too. :)
Seriously! Whose kid is this!?
Daniel, Bradley, Abby and Eliza played chase.
Nathan...not sure exactly what he was doing?
Ammon picked the beautiful flowers.
Cheese!
Sunday evening we watched the 10 Commandments and ate popcorn just like the good old days. It was fun to have part of our Smith cousins here.
Monday morning before Aunt Janna, Abby and Ammon left the girls had their tea party.
They had been looking forward to it all weekend, but we never got the time.
They used Apple Juice for the tea and Cranberry Pomegranate for the cream. They also had some mini banana muffins. When Daniel saw he asked if he could play too. :)
We told him he could join them, but he had to curl his finger. He did a good job. ;)
Eliza was excited to use Aunt Janna's fancy tea cups.
Daniel thought Aunt Janna's mini muffins were delicious!
Notice Daniel's pinkie. It was fun to watch them have their tea party.
Ammon loved Eliza's piggies. He really wanted to take one home with him.
Really he wanted to take Eliza and her piggies home with him. He kept saying, "We take that one?!" and he would point to her. Aunt Janna and Abby were all for it too. I couldn't make it without my best helper, so I had to tell them no. It was great to see them and we are so glad they made the trip.

So glad Janna, Abby, and Ammon could make it. I'm on salivating a little at the mention of Janna's pies. . . I love tea parties!
