Oakland Temple & Alcatraz

The Oakland California Temple:

We stopped at the temple on our way to Alcatraz. Since it was a Monday Andy wasn't able to come with us. The boys did pretty good though.

This is in the visitor's center.
Grandma, Grandpa, Andrea, Daniel, Bradley, Me & Malea

Andrea & Malea make great models.

They may be a little silly, but they are cute!

The flower beds were absolutely gorgeous! We weren't too bad looking either.

The tulips were easily three feet tall!

I love spring flowers!!

Alcatraz:
The pictures are not in the right order, but I didn't want to fix them. You can get a feel for the trip anyway.

Coit Tower on the hill across from Alcatraz.

Everything was so green!
Daniel fell asleep during the tour.

Bradley thought he was pretty big to get his own headset. This was the library.

Andrea & Malea getting a feel for being behind bars. :)

I am not sure what the cage is next to the tower on the fence line was for, but it looks a little bit ominous!

The old water tower.

Andrea, Bradley & Malea conquering the hill.

This was once used as a school.

Climbing up to the prison block.

There are warning signs all over the perimeter of the island.

Coming in to dock.
Getting closer!

Alcatraz IslandThe boys loved riding on the "boat ship." They still ask if we can go again.

I miss that area so much. I love getting to see your pictures of all the places I used to spend time at growing up. San Fran is always fun! Have you been to the exploratorium? I'm not sure if they still have it there, but we took field trips as kids and I remember loving it.
