As we have gotten settled in we have come to realize you have to have water activities or you just get too hot! Good thing we still have our handy dandy water table.
Delaney, Nathan and Eliza had a water fight.
Nathan refilling his gun.
"I get you mom!"
Our dad had a better schedule now that residency is over, so we had time to try a little fishing one evening. There are some fishing docks close to our house, so we just loaded up the wagon and headed out. The shipping route for the back bay happens to run past the docks. It was fun to see the barges so close up.
Heading down to the water.
Looking at a barge as it passes behind the trees. This moss is on all the trees. It reminds us a little of Aunt Janna's house.
Nathan was super excited to see the boat.
Finally made it to the docks.
As we were fishing we noticed fish jumping. They are mullets and apparently they love to jump!
They jump pretty far out of the water.
There are also a lot of aquatic birds. We have seen a couple catch frogs, small fish and crabs.
Daniel caught the first fish.
Nathan checking on Bradley
"A boat Mom!"
The first two fish caught. I think they caught three in all. We had several that got away hook, sinker and all!
Daniel waiting for another bite.
We had this dock to ourselves.
The sunset was pretty. Not long after it set I took Nathan home. Andy and the big kids fished for a while longer. They had a lot of fun and can't wait to go fishing more often.

It's cool you live so close to water. I guess those fish you caught aren't much good for eating or are they?
