Spring has Sprung

March 2015

Occasionally we are just too busy to take a nap.  This is what happens when you slow down...

This is one of the Hurricane Hunters that fly around our house on a regular basis.
It is a C-130 airplane.  It is so fun to see so many air planes again.

The little bush next to the front porch is in full bloom.
I love the pink flowers!

I also like playing with my camera. ;)

This box turtle showed up in the front yard after school one day.  The kids loved following him around.  He just couldn't get away.

Eliza with the turtle hiding under the bush.

Now that the weather is warmer Nathan has become a regular at this "watering" hole.

He feels the need to water everyone and everything around him as well.
He might be slightly devilish!

Eliza lost a shoe trying to get away!
He got her pretty good.

No where was safe...not even in the garage.

Bennet and Mason, our neighbors, couldn't get away from him either.

Nathan delights in holding the power in his hands!

For FHE, and in honor of Grandpa's birthday, we planted our garden.
Andy build the garden boxes the weekend before.  The soil here is really bad so we had to haul all the soil in.  The kids were super excited to help plant.

Nathan and Dad working on the cucumbers.

Notice that Nathan has on Eliza's shoes.  He is a funny kid.

Daniel dropping seeds in the holes.

Daniel was good to help supervise Nathan.

Eliza also got in on a little planting.

While they were doing the garden Eliza helped me plant the new flowers she and Dad picked out for me.  They did a great job!

All done!

Daniel putting in the marker for the broccoli.

Daniel and Bradley planting the okra.

Nathan playing ball.  He can almost dunk with the chair. ;)

Daniel started these Lima bean plants at school, so he transplanted them into the garden.  They are doing really well.

This is a red finch that comes to our feeder on a regular basis.
They are such pretty birds.

Dad, Nathan and Eliza planting new flowers in our pots.
The hibiscus all died over the winter.

Nathan is such a good helper!

He needed his very own shovel.
Spring is officially here!!

I love the pictures! Eliza and Nathan are getting so big. Nathan sure is a handsome little dude. And I saw your post about Daniel's baptism! It makes sense, but my mind doesn't want to believe it. And your expecting another baby! Congratulations! I am so happy to see and read about how your family is doing and am happy you like base life. Good luck with the next couple months!

Good looking little garden you got there. Colton really wants a place to grow all sorts of stuff too! :)
