May is our strawberry month! There are a few "pick it yourself" patches near us. We really enjoy going to pick strawberries, but due to the large amounts of rain and heat we have been receiving we only made it once. The berries were few and far between, but they were really good!
Daniel starting to pick some strawberries.
Daniel inspecting a small strawberry.
Margaret went with us.
Mom picking strawberries. Eliza was our photographer for the day. She took most of the pictures.
Bradley keeping track on Nathan. Bradley and Daniel had to take turns watching Nathan since the stroller wouldn't go down the rows of strawberries.
Self portrait of the photographer. She did a really good job!
Bradley's turn to pick.
I finally got the camera back so I could get a picture of Eliza picking strawberries.
Daniel and Eliza looking for more strawberries. All you can see of Eliza is her little head behind Daniel.
By the time we were finished poor Nathan was bright red. The boys had turned him so he was facing the sun. That way he could see us picking in the field. It was a little warm that day and he got pretty hot!
After we paid for our strawberries we decided ice cream was in order. Everyone was hot and tired and the ice cream hit the spot!
Nathan loved his first ice cream sandwich.
Daniel working on his.
"Mmmm."
"More!"
"So good!!"
Bradley finished his quickly and was ready to help anyone in need with theirs.
We really enjoyed the strawberries and can't wait until next year to get some more.

I love that you use ice cream to cool down. Is there a better way? I am all amazement at how good Eliza is at taking pictures!
