We got up at 4am on June 11, 2013 to get ready for our flight to Utah. We had everything pack the night before, so we just had to get the kids out of bed and dressed. We left our house at 4:30am. The kids were too excited to go back to sleep. It was a really early morning, but it was worth it! The kids did so well on the flights. We flew from Raleigh, NC to Chicago, IL and then to Utah.
Daniel and Eliza watching a show on the plane.
Bradley was across from us on this flight. He got to play the iPod.
The kid sitting next to Bradley started feeling sick and started towards the back of the plane to the restroom. He only made it half way before he passed out in the isle. Pretty soon the flight attendant asked if there was a doctor or a nurse on board. The boys mom was against the window and couldn't see what was going on. It took a could minutes for us to figure out that it was her son. She was a little traumatized by the experience, but the kid was fine. They let him off first at the airport in Chicago so he could have the EMS check him out. The second flight was much less eventful.
Nathan slept for a little while on both flights. He was a really good sport.
When we crossed the Rockies it brought tears to my eyes. It has been so long since I was home in Utah. We are glad to be here and visit with all our family and friends. Thanks Dad for supporting us on this trip! We love and miss you!!
